IN LOVING MEMORY: HOWARD YOUNG

SAGINAW - We said farewell to Howard Thomas Young on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Howard was born on November 10, 1920 in Hillsboro, Texas. He was 101 years “young” and lived a full life!

He and his wife, Wanda, have been married for 75 years! What a wonderful couple.

Howard was very patriotic and loved this country. He was the oldest citizen and World War 2 veteran living in Saginaw, Texas. He served his country during World War 2 and worked for the Land Lease program in Europe in 1942 - 1944. He then came back to the US and served in the Army Air Corp from 1944-1947.

He married the love of his life, Wanda, in May of 1947 and together, they moved to Saginaw in 1949.

Howard served as a volunteer for the Saginaw Fire Department for four years. His lifetime career was a civil servant.

Howard was a member for over fifty years in these groups: Moslah Temple-Tarrant Masonic Lodge #942, Worth Commandry #19 Knights Templar, Moslah Shriner International and an Elks Lodge member.

Wanda would like to thank all of the wonderful ladies from the Community Hospice Company for all of the love and care they showed to Howard.
