August 25, 1947-August 30, 2021 Floyd Russell Orr, 74 years of age, passed peacefully on Monday, August 30, 2021, at College Park Rehab Center.
Floyd was born in Flowery Branch, Georgia on August 25, 1947, to the late James and Nell Orr. He has
Two siblings, his sister Odette Smith which precedes him in death and brother Clint Harwell.
Floyd married the love of his life, Sandy Jane Moore, 55 years ago on August 22, 1966, and they had one child, Ronnie Lee Orr which passed away in 2001.
Floyd never meta stranger. He would talk anyone and share his wealth of knowledge even if it was unbelievable. You never knew when to take him serious or not. He loved being an over the road truck driver until his health did not allow him to any longer. He and his wife made a great team driving all over the country. They also shared a love for horses.
Since retirement he loved to watch old westerns, watch educational shows, love on his puppies and drink Dr. Pepper. He was convinced that one day they would find Big Foot. During the holidays he loved to make his famous pea salad or potato salad to share with his family.
Floyd leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, his bride of 55 years, Sandy Orr, brother Clint Harwell, brother-in-law's, Morris Kelly and Troy Tidwell. Nieces Dejeta Huffman, Renee Jester, Gina Niles, Kim Lawrence & Amber Upshaw and nephew Barry Smith along with a host of great nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death his parents James & Nell Orr, his son Ronnie Orr, his sister Odette Smith, sister in-laws Jonette Kelly and Debra Tidwell. Nephew Gary Kelly and niece Amy Berkner.
