HANG UP YOUR HANG UPS (Romans 8)
Romans7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
I.
Hang Up Your Guilt 1Therefore, there is now
no condemnation for
those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because
in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin
and death.
II.
Hang Up Your Flesh 5Those who live
according to the flesh have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in
accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The
mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind controlled by the
Spirit is life and peace; 7the
mind set on the flesh is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so.
III.
Hold On to the HS 9You, however, are not
in the flesh but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of G lives in you. 14 Those who are led by the Spirit of G
are sons of G. 15For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but
you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." 16The
Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are G's children.
